52 Project – 2…

Ok, so I have failed to keep up with the weekly shooting and posting on the second week.  To make up the short fall, I went to shoot with one of my classmates around Hong Kong.  This trip was a good experience to shoot raw street photography.  I used a few new (to me) techniques to shoot under low-light situations.

Another new step was to have conversations with strangers before shooting them.  It was really interesting to know the story of the tailor and his shop; I feel that the photo shot afterwards really was taken to another level.

Great fun!

52 project – week 1

I always admire people who can successfully complete the 365 projects (taking 1 photo each day for a full year). For me, I set my target lower at 52 project (weekly photo) for this year. Let’s do it! TL

Photo Exhibition

Great great great!  First post in 2013, starting with a piece of good news!

The two editors/contributors to this blog post will be participating in a public photo exhibition this month.  It will be held in a rather prime venue, with a lot of traffic.

I think photography (and art in general) should be shared, although some pieces you may want to be kept private.. yet I think to show your hard work and let others appreciate it is very important in the journey!  Show it to the world!  Organize exhibitions for paintings/photos, publish photo books, play in gigs to show your music, whatever, just let the world taste your art! 🙂

Rather excited about this, more details to follow!
